Tender Transitions was founded in 1997, by Tom & Sheila Pettigrew. Through years of helping family, close friends and acquaintances into new life situations, they have developed knowledge and experience in working with a various seniors needs and concerns. In 1996 it became clear that there was a need for an all-inclusive relocation service in Omaha, that would help seniors making a move to new life situations. Tender Transitions is a member of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. Midlands Business Journal wrote an article about Tender Transitions in 2003. Tom and Sheila truly enjoy working with seniors and the community. Helping elderly people just comes naturally to them. Since 1989 Tom and Sheila have served as Co-Executive Directors for Brush Up Paint-A-thon, a non-profit organization that serves the needs of seniors in the Omaha, Lincoln, and Sioux Falls, SD metro areas.

Deb Marasco, a partner, has been with Tender Transitions since 1999. Prior to joining as a full partner she was a school teacher, and loved working with people. She brings a lot of experience with working with seniors though her own family and volunteer work. She loves the opportunity Tender Transitions allows in developing relationships with people. Helping seniors with often difficult situations is very rewarding for her.

Our staff is made up of many caring individuals that share our same interests in helping others. They bring a variety of experiences and talents to Tender Transitions.
